David Pavone

David has completed a Bachelor of Behavioural Science at La TrobeUniversity and also a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and Master of Psychology (Clinical) at RMIT University. His clinical training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and he has also completed further training and supervised practice in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Since the completion of his studies he has worked in several public psychiatry settings, including South West Healthcare (Portland), Mid West Area Mental Health Service and is currently employed with the North East Primary Mental Health Team. As a result of these experiences he has gained significant experience in clinical psychology and psychiatry. He has also worked in the psychiatric disability rehabilitation sector with individuals experiencing significant psychosocial disability as a result of psychiatric illness. His major clinical interests include the anxiety disorders, depression, personality disorders and the role of mindfulness, acceptance and values based living in contributing to psychological wellbeing.
